Tomos Watkin Get Into the Fanzine Spirit!!
It may be close season but the fanzine’s work is never done and here at “A Touch Far Vetched!” we are constantly looking for opportunities to help good causes and junior league football within the Swans catchment area.
And so it gives me great pleasure to announce that lowal brewery giants Tomos Watkin have signed up to be the “ATFV!” Community Partner for the 2011/12 PREMIER LEAGUE (love saying that) season.
The brewers, who have just released their “Not So Ugly Now” cask ale to celebrate the Swans’ promotion, will be sponsoring the fanzine’s Community Chest Initiative and are currently working on ways to help support some of the events and activities we have planned for the forthcoming season. But the beer experts haven’t wasted any time and have already made a valuable contribution, kicking off our Community Chest efforts already with a £100 donation to fund the purchase of much-needed training equipment for a local junior league club.
The money will be used by Penlan Colts – who already proudly wear full kit supplied by “A Touch Far Vetched!” - to buy bibs, corner flags and poles plus a Precision Training Soccer Skills Net, a nifty piece of equipment that helps improve skills and ball control during training. It is this type of activity the fanzine likes to indulge in most…helping to develop junior football by providing financial help where it is needed most.
I would like to publicly thank Tomos Watkin for pledging their support over the next twelve months…in fact, I think I’ll raise a glass to them
